Todd Barnhouse

Todd is joining the Clever Bee Academy team as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) after serving the past thirteen years as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA) along with 15 years in state government, Todd is excited to join Clever Bee Academy to strengthen and leverage an amazing team early learning professionals in supporting Clever Bee’s mission committed to stimulating the spirit of learning in infants to preteens. 

Todd comes to the COO role at Clever Bee Academy with an extensive statewide system building background in leadership positions creating public and private partnerships amongst state governmental agencies whose mission is to serve Ohio’s children and families. He has vast experience developing and implementing programs, products, and services in support of early care, learning, and school-age professionals and programs across the state. He also has been very successful in advocating for funding and program improvements on behalf of children and families inside and outside of government.

Since 2012, Todd has been serving as an appointed member of the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council, along with various national and state committees, councils, and workgroups advocating on behalf of sustainable funding and supports for the early childhood, school-age, and child welfare programs and professionals supporting Ohio’s children and families.
